In a meeting convened at Gormur high School presided over by Cheng Lung Bimal, all major Tai Ahom organizations of Assam resolved to maintain age-old peaceful relationship between the people of Assam and Nagaland and expressed grave concern at the recent developments at Assam-Nagaland border at Bihubor. They condemned the actions of some self-interested and reactionary forces trying to disrupt this friendly bond. They also urged both sides to maintain peace and refrain from activities that may accelerate tension between the people on both sides of the border.
