Amid a simmering debate over involvement of several ministers in the multi crore scam in NC Hills district, the Assam government is in a process to reopen the letter of credit scam in the animal husbandry and veterinary department. Confirming this, minister Pradyut Bordoloi told the reporters on Tuesday that the government has sent a formal request to the Central Bureau of Investigation to reopen the LOC case where the then Governor S K Sinha not allow the investigating agency to prosecute former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta.
