A rickshow puller and a minor boy were injured during an encounter between security forces and ULFA in the outskirt of Guwahati on Sunday.
The encounter took at Hospital Chowk in Sualkuchi at around 10 in the morning where a hardcore cadre of the proscribed outfit was apprehended. The arrested ULFA cadre was identified as Harekrishna Deka alias Chiraj.
According to information, the incident took place when two ULFA cadres were on their way to collect money from a local businessman in the area they demanded earlier.
During the 30 minute long gunfight the rickshow Maniram Rabha along with the minor boy
fell injured. Later they have been shifted to the hospital. Security forces claimed to have recovered a grenade from his possession.
