Charaipung tense even after Roy's visit


Tension still grips Charaipung area when armed miscreants set on fire 3 more houses where a widow and pregnant woman along with her three children had a narrow escape. This string of fresh incident took place before the visit of border area development minister Gautam Roy on Thursday who appealed to the people of both sides to excercise restraint. Roy had no concrete with him to ensure safety amd security of Charaipung and its people. After winding up the Changlang-Mergherita road blockade, pro-talk ULFA leader Mrinal Hazarika also visited Charaipung and interacted with the panic stricken people.
