Chief Minister Tarun gogoi has laid down foundation stone of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperatives Management at Sivasagar on December 28. DoNER Minister B.K. Handique, Bharat Norah, State Cooperatives Minister, Pranab Gogoi, Textile Minister of Assam were also present in the event.

Why does the Congress govts in north-east states name everything after Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Nehru? The trio destroyed Assam and Assamese society. Nehru brought in Bangladeshi Hindus in 1946-47. His daughter Indira Gandhi brought in Bangladeshi Muslims in 1971. Her son Rajiv Gandhi implemented IMDT Act to safeguard the illegal migrants in Assam.

AAMSU hits streets in Nazira

Over 100 AAMSU workers hit the streets in Nazira in protest against NDFB’s serial attacks in Kokrajhar, Chirang and Sonitpur where 68 people were killed on Tuesay.The workers of the All Assam Minorities Student  Union thronged the Nazira town and burnt the effigy of the NDFB-S shouting slogans against the massacre of the innocent people. Former AASU leader dies

A pall of gloom descends in Nazira following the sudden death of Tipun Gogoi. Gogoi, the young businessman died on Wednesday night. He was 31 and left behind him mother and elder brother. Various local organizations and individuals condoled his death and conveyed their deep sympathies to the bereaved family members.
