KAAC elections prevails clouds of doubt over UPDS’s accord

The Indian National Congress has intensified KAAC poll campaign in every MAC constituency. Eve of the elections laying of foundation stones of various infrastructure developments are also continuing equally by the ruling congress party in the hill district Karbi Anglong.


On Tuesday, in a public meeting held at Bheloghat on account of water supply project foundation stone laying ceremony, the Congress party addressed the general voters to be loyal supporter of the Congress.


While addressing crowd public, Bidya Sing Rongpy local MAC and EM for PWD department, KAAC highlighted on the different developments that managed to give by them (Congress) for the public.


Rongpi reiterated that at a time, people of this area as well as different parts of the hill district did not see development and have to pass intolerable hurdles every walk of life during the ASDC-CPI (ML) 14-year regimes. Now people are getting adequate road communication, potable drinking water, electrification finicalities and its services home to home, he added. Meanwhile, Rongpi seeking support from public, he urged to join Congress.


While attending chief guest of the water supply foundation stone laying ceremony, the State cabinet HAD Minister, Kharsing Engti said that Congress is a part of every needy section of people and hence the Congress led Government never compromised with any social development.


Speaking on the going to be set up the salient water supply project at Bheloghat which will be covered the greater Dokmoka area, Minister Engti said that it would be great and successful development for the people of the fluoride affected Tekelanjung area.


Meanwhile, he exhorted people to keep confidence over the Congress and assured to provide round the clock development in the district. Later, end of the meeting, HAD Minister Kharsing Engti was asked several questions on the peace talks of UPDS that to be accorded shortly with the Central government, but instead of giving direct comment regarding the UPDS accord he told the reporters to disclose about the UPDS issue on October 24 and the forthcoming KAAC polls.


It needs to be mentioned here that that the demand of interim government which is being demanded by UPDS is prevailing clouds of doubt in front of the voters of Karbi Anglong in case of holding KAAC elections. Even, the UPDS’s peace accord is also confusing Congress workers and leaders.

Under the basis of specific information, a joint operation was conducted by 16 Dogra Regiment and Assam police on Sunday at Mahamaya and Panjuri area of Karbi Anglong district under the Dokmoka police station.
