Police-merchant meet

To foil the evil design of anti-socials and extortionists in the name different groups, the Dima Hasao district police held a discussion with the merchants of Haflong town at Police Control room, Haflong on Tuesday.

The meeting was presided over by S Das, Deputy Superintendent of Police and was conducted by Shankha Sargawari, OC, Haflong Police Station.

Hundreds of merchants from Haflong market attended the meet and shared with the police officials and suggested some remedial measures for tackling the anti-social activities. They also assured to extend all possible cooperation to the police.

The police officials also assured them while seeking full cooperation from the merchant community and at same time they also appealed not to be panicky in any sort happening rather cooperate with the police.
