Ensure Assam safety: Gogoi to Centre

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has asked the Centre to ensure that any dam related activities by China in Tibet do not cause ecological problems in the state.
Gogoi said in Guwahati on Sunday that if the problems could be addressed, then communities residing in the catchment areas of the river would benefit.

According to Gogoi, the state government is committed to holding elections to the Mising Autonomous Council and said the Council has been established for the welfare of Mising community.
