Army chief hints at huge crackdown

The Army pulls up its sleeves to intensify its crackdown against NDFB-S militants after they killed over 70 people in the recent carnage in Kokrajhar and Sinitput districts on Tuesday.

Steps are on to kick start the offensive inside Bhutan and Myanmar to hunt them. The decision was finalized when Army chief Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag met home minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi in the morning.

Later talking to reporters, the army chief said that they met to review Assam’s law and order situation and that operation would be launched in a big way.
