Protest in Delhi; don’t spare killers
Hundreds of people on Wednesday staged dharna in front of the Assam Bhawan in New Delhi in protest against the NDFB-S attacks in Assam where over 50 people were killed on Tuesday.
With festoones and playcards in their hands, the protestors squatted in front of the Assam House demanding an end to the bloodbath.
The protesters further demanded exemplary punishments for against the militants who unleashed the violence in five places to kill over 55 people.
Meanwhile, the Union cabinet in its meeting condemned the NDFB-S attacks on the common people condoled the death of over 55 people. after the end of the meeting, Union home minister Rajnath Singh and his junior minister Kiren Rijiju have left for Assam to take stock of the situation.
Immediately after landing in Guwahati, the Union home ministers are leavig for Sonitpur district where the militants killed at least 40 people in Dhekiajuli and Paboi in two attacks in the evening.
They are also scheduel to visit Kokrajhar on Thursday wgere the miltants killed at least 26 people to retaliate the combing offensive against them.
During their visit, Singh is scheduled to take stock of the situation at a meeting with met Chief minister Tarun Gogoi towards the evening.
