Kathina Cibara Danotsav at Anadhuwa Buddha Vihar

Like every year, the Kathina Cibara Dana was celebrated at Anadhuwa Buddha Vihar Temple near Panery of Udalguri with a two day long programme on Saturday and Sunday. On the first day 8 disciplines were given Diksha(sraman) by followed by Buddha Monk from Duliajam Nandia Bhikku. On the second day a disciplined peace procession was carried out from the temple premises to Panery. The devotees carrying religious flags and portaits of Buddha chanted “Buddha, Dhamma Sangha Ki Jai” in chorus.
Earlier in the morning Buddh puja and Sangha Dana was carried out by devotees. In the evening Kathina Cibara Dana was held where new robes were offered to the Bhikkhu Sangha,followed by religious meet that congregated for the occasion and prayed for world.
The celebrations were concluded by lightings of candles and sky lanterns. The devotees expressed their gratitude to convenor Tushar Baruah(Ratan),President of celebration committee Mihir Baruah for the grand celebration of the event.
