Pongyong Tekchai Released

Pongyong Tekchai, a collection of articles, written by noted  writer Rajiv Ahmed and published by Sampriti Prakashan, was released on Mondy at a  function organised in Guwahati Press club. The book was inaugurated by senior journalist Hyder Hussain and the meeting was presided over by veteran journalist Dhirendranath Chakarvorty. Inagurating the book journalist Hussain hoped that the book will able to feed up the needs of voracious readers’ community of Assamese language. Veteran journalist Chakorvorty opined that it is high to practise literary culture in the state. Dr. Jayanta Madhab, noted economist was also present in the ceremony including some other dignitaries. Mentionable is that the articles contained in the book deal with various topics including some important incidents of the Assam History.
