Udalguri Electronic Media Forum formed

Journalists working for various electronic media channels of Assam and NE from Udalguri district have formed a new forum recently at Tangla on October 14. A meeting was held at Tangla Press Club at 11.30 AM which was attended by electronic media journalists from various places of the district namely- Kalaigaon, Khoirabari, Bhergaon, Tangla, Udalguri,Mazbat,Rowta etc. Dipak Deka (NE TV) presided over the meeting. In his welcome and introductory speech, Diganta Kumar Sarma, Secretary,Tangla Press Club explained about the need of forming the new electronic media forum in Udalguri district. Ram Upadhyay (Udalguri);Kaneswar Deka and Mosaddique Hussain (Kalaigaon); Dipen Deka (Khoirabari) also spoke a few words on the occasion. A 19 member committee of Udalguri Electronic Media Forum was formed with Ram Upadhyay as President and Diganta Kumar Sarma as Secretary. Other office bearers are- Kaneswar Deka and Gunajit Das (Vice Presidents); Dipak Deka,Pulak Das and Dipen Deka ( Assistant Secretaries);Yubaraj Thapaliya (Office Secretary) and Mosaddique Hussain (treasurer).
