Community Radio workshop begins at Guwahati

A Technical Training Workshop on Community Radio is being held in North East Diocesan Social Forum (NEDSF) and Cotton College from June 25 to 30. The workshop is being organized by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and PANOS South Asia. The inauguration of the workshop was held at NEDSF which was inaugurated by Dr. A.S. Guha, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of IGNOU and based at Shillong. The six-day workshop will be finished on June 30. In the inaugural session, various personalities like Kazimuddin Ahmed and Xonjoi Borbora from PANOS South Asia, Bandana Mukhapadhyay, Consultant with IGNOU and N Ram have delivered their valuable lecture regarding the training. Participants, including representatives from non-government organizations and students from different parts of the northeast, will be able to get a crystal clear picture of Community Radio.

Is there any Community Radio Station in the state of Assam ?

No. there is not any CR Station in Guwahati or entire Assam. But processes are undergoing to set up many more. Hope this will work good.
