DJ Mani of Nagaon won the All India IIT Alcheringa'08 War

DJ Mani of Nagaon won the Final of All India IIT "Alcheringa'08 War", a DJ Competition held in IIT Campus of Guwahati Center yesterday from 4 PM. This national level DJ competition is meant for the upcoming DJ's around India and to provide them a platform to saw their abilities in the field. DJ Mani of Nagaon beat the other two finalist to Won this year Alcheringa 08 war competition.

Little Flower High School won the Inter School Cricket competition organised by Nagaon Sports Association beating Nagaon Bengali High Seconday School by 2 runs. In the final match, held at Nurul Amin Statidum, nagaon on 3rd Feb, Little Flower High School won the toss and elected to bat first. Little Flower scored 79 runs loosing all their wickets in 20 overs, but the Nagaon Begali School batsmen could not took the advantage of the efficient work of their bowlers and were put down by the Little Flower bowlers at 77 runs in 24 overs. A group of 15 person looted the passenger of 4 vehicles on NH 37 near Roha, at about 1.35 AM today. The number of the vehicles are Indica (AS-02 B 9362), Jeepsy - JR04-1422, Super Bus - AS07 B-0803 and AS-01P-0026. Yesterday, late evening, Nagaon Police arrested Hindu Yuva Chatra Parishad, central committee member Mahendra Kuwar. The Deputy S.P. of Nagaon, Naziur Rahman, revealled that Kuwar was having contact with the extremist group Bhartiya Jatiya Sena, the new organisation that is active in Nagaon since last December. Bhartiya Jatiya Sena was suspected to be involved in the last December 4th and 6th blast in Haibargaon and Itachali area of Nagaon district. Three people died several others injured when a bus collided its head on with a car in Nagaon district’s Amoni area on Wedesday. According to information, Alto (AS01 AE 1224) struck its head with a Bus bearing No ASN 6159. All these three people died on the spot. They were S.L. Parik, Bhagwan Mishra, Jatindra Choudhary.
