37th Bn, SSB imparts training on goat rearing

UDALGURI:  In a bid to resolve the unemployment among educated youths and open up self-employment and  entrepreneurship oppurtunities for being financially independent. The 37th Bn, Sasastra Seema Bal(SSB) Mangaldoi initiated a 10 day long self employment training cum awareness programme on Goat rearing under RSETI (Rural self employment training institution), Udalguri for the Indo-Bhutan border populace. Four selected youths from bordering area are participating in the training, which have been sponsored by 37th Bn, SSB Mangaldoi. The  training programme  inaugurated by Joint Area Organizer, AO SSB Udalguri,Prasenjit Koch in  presence of Offg. Commandant 37th Bn SSB,MD Tamang;Tapan  Basumatary, Director, and Sr. Assistant RESTI, Udalguri,Tapan Basumatary and Jitu Deka respectively. Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Area Organizer,SSB,Prasenjit Koch  advised them to rear genetically modified cross breeds to start giat farming as a viable income generating option. "Sustained efforts are being taken by the government to attain perceptible change in economic growth of the State by boosting self-employment and entrepreneurship in the sector." Koch said. He also assured the youths that more such skill development training would be organized under various flagship programme of Govt. of India like Antyodaya Yojna, NRLM, Gramin Koushal Yojna in the near future.
