Flood scene unchanged in Dhemaji

The overall flood situation remains unchanged on Thursday forcing the district administration to expedite relief and rescue operation.

More and more areas have come under surging waters of the overflowing Brahmaputra and Demow rivers.

According to official sources, the flood waters have affected 11, 471 people from 44 villages in Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts.

The worst-hit areas in Dhemaji district include Dhemaji, Jonai, Sisiborgaon where relief and rescue operations are in progress.
