A pension Adalot was held at Deputy Commissioners Conference Hall at Udalguri on November 13 to settle long pending pension cases of the district.The Adalot was chaired by Mahtabuddin Ahmed,Commissioner and Secretary, Pension and Public Grievances Department of Assam.Out of 37 pending cases 32 long pending cases were settled to much delight of the pensioners of the district.All the cases were settled under Direcorate of Pension,Assam while two cases were settled under Accountant General of Assam office. Sadhana Hojai,Deputy Commissioner,Udalguri formally inaugurated the Pension Adalot at 11 am which was also attended by Podumi Gogoi,Director, Pension, Assam; Farida Samsul,Deputy Secretary,Pension and Public Grievances; L Pegu, Deputy Accountant General, Assam; P Kalita,Joint Secretary,Judicial Department, Assam; Dibakor Doley,ADC,Udalguri;Richand Ahmed, SDO (civil), Udalguri beside other high ranking officials of Asam and Udalguri.
In his concluding speech Mahtabuddin Ahmed requested all officials to settle all pension related cases immediately. He thanked Udalguri district administration for offering help to settle 32 long pending pension cases of the district.He also said that a few cases couldnot be settled as the pensioners could not submit proper documents in time.It needs mention that another 45 pension cases of the district had alreadybeen settled before the Adalot.
