Forest guards have killed three dreaded poachers at an encounter in Kaziranga on Wednesday after the national park lost four rhinos during the last 13 days.
The encounter took place at Burhapahar range of the world heritage site in the wee hours. Kaziranga authorities told Assam Times that the gun battle erupted in the wee hours when the forest guards spotted the armed poachers inside the park.
Forest guards have further recovered arms from the encounter site. Notably, poachers have killed four one horn animals just within a short spell of time.
