Cong takes out statewide rally

Congressmen on Tuesday held huge rallies in protest against NDA government’s harmful policies that would leave the state dire straight in near future.

The party leaders and activists in all districts took out protest march in the headquarters alleging that Assam is losing special treatment. Participating in the rallies Congress leaders told Assam Times in Guwahati that Prime Minister Narendra Modi must understand Assam and its people.

“We want the U turns to be stopped immediately. We demand no curtailment of its shares in the Centrally sponsored schemes. It’s the beginning of the protest. More protest are on the cards,” PCC president Anjan Dutta told Assam Times in Sivasagar.
