Gautom, Siddique take oath

Gautom Roy and Siddique Ahmed took oath a new cabinet ministers on Tuesday. Governor PB Acharya administered the duo the oath of office and secrecy at a brief function at the Raj Bhawan in the morning. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi along with his cabinet colleagues, APCC leaders and parliamentary secretaries attended the function. Gogoi sacked both of them last year.

Security forces claimed to have killed at least 30 militants during the ongoing operation along the Indo-Myanmar border a week after NSCN-K killed 20 army men in the Manipur ambush.Army calls it the biggest ever operation along the border following diplomatic consent from Myanmar.
