BTC-Army football premiere league starts
The BTC-Army goodwill football premier league 2015 has been kicked off at Magurmari ground in Kokrajhar from Sunday. The league for U-19 boys was jointly organised by BTC administration and Indian Army to create sporting environment among society in the region.
Hemendra Nath Brahma, president of Assam Football Association and former MLA attended as chief guest in the inauguration ceremony and inaugurated in the presence of the Army officials, BTC executive members and huge spectators.
In the inaugural match,Parbatjhora Panthers Club defeated Chirang Royals 4-1 goals.
Dhrubajyoti Brahma of Panthers Club netted his first goal in 13 minutes.Birhang Mushahary of Chirang Royals reduced the goal scoring his first goal in 20 minutes against Panthers Club. Again getting golden penalty kick Dhrubajyoti scored another goal in 24 minutes and Bonjar Brahma scored third goal in 35 minutes which led the club to take 3-1 goals in the first half of the match.
Again, Dhrubajyoti Brahma of Panthers scored fourth goal in 65 minutes of second half and won the the match 4-1 goals in its first league match.
SM Ismail, Brigadier of the Army told that BTC and Army jointly conducted the league to haunt talent youths in the region as so many sports budding youths are not getting sporting arena in their age in the region.
Among others, Brigadier H Sahney, BTC executive members Doneswar Goyary, Rajib Brahma were present in the inaugural session.

There are still 73 relief camps running where 1,54,305 inmates are taking shelter and 25 police fixed pickets have been set up to the displaced places in the district, said Thaneswar Malakar, Kokrajhar DC on Friday.Malakar while speaking the reporters today at DC office conference hall said that the relief camp have decreased 73 from 81 camps in the three sub-divisions like Kokrajhar,Gossaigaon and Parbatjhora in the district. Relief camp inmates at Patgaon High School in Kokrajhar gheraoed VP Payarilal, additional chief secretary of govt of Assam and Thaneswar Malakar, Kokrajhar DC on Friday demanding security measures and suffiecient relief materials.The officials visited the camp to stock of the relief works at the school involving sector officer and relief incharge, but inmates saw uproar over government officials and gheraoed the officials for half an hour. Two hard-core KLO militants surrendered before police in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. Identified as Dhananjay Barman alias Dayal alias Jiten alias Sonatan and Gopal Barman alias Joydeb alias Joy surrendered before Kokrahar SP Sunil Kumar at SP office in the morning.They further deposited an HK-33 German made assault riffle and two hand grenades before the authority. A delegation of 26 organisations visited the refugee camps in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts on Tuesday. Security forces claimed to have killed 3 suspected cadres of NDFB-S militants during the combing operation from Sankosh area in Gossaigaon subdivision of Kokrajhar district on Monday.According to police, identified as Rodip Narzary, Bennedict Basumatary and Rahidas Narzary were apprehended when they were on the way towards West Bengal from Jambuguri area in Gossaigaon in a Nano vehicle bearing registration no AS-01 MB 3661.
