BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

BPF supremo Hagrama Mohilary on Saturday openly and closely talked to the partymen at the grassroot level in two places in BTAD areas and asked them to strengthen the party ahead of the Assam Assembly elections early next year.Mohilary, on Saturday hold party meeting with primary member and party workers from grassroots at Aflagaon, Diplai in Banargaon and Bhaukungri blocks and closely listened to them about the problems. Kamaleswar football trophy for Barhoongka

Barhoongka Athletics Club from Kokrajhar defeated Veteran FC, Assam and lifted the 3rd Kamaleswar Brahma memorial football trophy in the final match 7-0 at the Ramfalbil RNB ground in Kokrajhar on Saturday.For Barhoongka, Lamminthang Touthang netted his first goal in 15 minutes, Pranab Das scored two goals in 25 minutes and 45+2 minutes which led the team with scoring of 30 in the first half. For Barhoongka, A Angjangpu Kabui scored another goal in 50 minutes, Nwukwu Michael scored goal in 70 minutes while Lamminthang Touthang scored two more goals in 72 minutes and 76 minutes in the second half and won the trophy. BTC executive member for Sports and Youth Welfare Doneswar Goyary...

Proneeta fetching glory for NE

Finally, Proneeta Swargiyary clinched the DID Season 5 title by the Zee TV fetching no less pride and glory for the north eastern region. Proneeta, a school girl hailing from Baska district of Assam was adjudged the best one on Friday in Mumbai. The recorded event would be screened in Zee TV Saturday. Many organizations and individuals in the state are celebrating the victory as soon as the result of the event spread like wild fire across the north eastern region. Various organizations in BTAD have been campaigning for Proneeta for the last couple of days.  

Football: Kashibari beat DASA XI

Kashibari Youth Club from Udalguri beat DASA XI from Dotma 6-2 in Friday’s match of Daoharu Mungklong Trophy at Dotma DASA ground in Kokrajhar. For DASA XI, Arpon Basumatary netted the first goal in 21 minutes against Kashibari. For Kashibari, Arindom Dev scored first goal in 29 minutes and Wine Daimary scored the second one goal in 36 minutes. It led Kashibari team 2-1 in the first half. For Kashibari, Torsis Sangma scored two goals in 55 minutes & 79 minutes, Derhasat Daimary and Suroj Daimary scored one each goal in 66 minutes and 74 minutes in the second half. BTC employees stage dharna

Hundreds of employees of BTC temporary employees staged three dharna in front of DC office in Kokrajhar raising their demand and grievances on Friday. Their demands include steps to regularize their jobs and fresh appointment either fixed pay or regular in the council. With banners and festoons in their hands, the protestors under the banner of BTC CSB selected Un - regularised Employees Association shouted slogans to raise their demands. CIT student dies in mishap

A student of Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar identified as Jangila Basumatary, 25, died and a rider received injury early this morning at a road mishap in Kokrajhar town. Jangila was last year student of B Tech in CIT, Kokrajhar met a road mishap at Habrubari over bridge this morning around 4.30 am with his bike. Bike rider injury was immediately rushed to Kokrajhar hospital.Jangila was hailed from Baganpur Nikashi of Baksa district and lived at rented lodging in Kokrajhar. 

BJP stages demo in Kokrajhar

NDFB-S ultra held in Baska

Police arrested a hardcore NDFB-S militant from Kahurbaha in Baksa district on Wednesday. Identified as Maidee Basumatary, he was captured during an operation by a group of Tamulpur police early in the morning. Police further claimed to have seized two grenades, 4 detonators along with 2 fuse wires and 4 demand notes from his possession.
