BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

A cadre of the NDFB-S was apprehanded by security forces at an operation raided from Selekhaguri area under Serfanguri PS of Kokrajhar district this morning. A joint team of security forces belonging to Police, Army and CRPF Cobra battalion manage to arrest a cadre of the militant outfit organization this morning around 5.30 am from Selekhaguri in Kokrajhar district. The arrested cadre was identified as Debo Boro, 36; of Selekhaguri m who has been involved with outfit organisation since many years.A 7.65 pistol (factory made), an Air Gun, two live bullets, two combat dress, two mobile handset and three CDs were recovered from him.

BPF is gearing up for Assembly elections early next year gathering more and more support in BTAD areas. Very recently more than 5000 supporters from PCDR, BPPF and Congress joined in the party in Kokrajhar alone.Talking to Assam Times, BPF MLA from Kokrajhar west Pradip Kumar Brahma said more and more people are joining the party very soon. More than 200 PCDR-UPP activists joined BPF in the presence of MLA Brahma at a meeting held Kamalsing MV school ground on Sunday. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said his government will not impose ban on sale of meat. In a statement issued on Sunday, Gogoi said the ban on sale of meat by some states is a retrogressive step as it violates the rights of the people to eat whatever food they like.Gogoi described the ban as decline from a better to a worse state as "people have the right to choose the food they prefer to eat." However, Gogoi said, his statement should not construed as promotion of non-vegetarianism. "A vegetarian has the same right as a non-vegetarian to eat whatever food he or she prefers," he said.
