BP unified with BPF

In a well gesture of party strength of BPF ahead assembly election in Bodoland region of Assam, a grand unification of BPPF with BPF under the leadership of Rabiram Narzary, president of BPPF was held on SUnday at Tulungapuri Dotma if Lower Assam's Kokrajhar district. 

Narzary, was accompanied party general secretary and thousands of party activists and supporters, declared party's unified with BPF to create more development and unity among society in the region.  He said that his party come into unified to meet healthy and integrated through working of peace and prosperity. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BPF supremo and BTC chief, party MP, MLA, senior party leaders were also present on the unification function. 

It is to be noted that both Narzary and Mohilary factionised in BPPF and BPF party in 2005 after signing historical Bodo Accord in 2003. 

Mohilary has welcome Rabiram Narzary and party members in the meeting said that now his party become a grand unified. He also said that his party will score good result in the assembly election

A hardcore NDFB-S cadre was arrested by Army jawans in a combing operation from Shantipur area of Chirang district on Monday. The arrested cadre was identified as Libhao Basumatary alias Lufao, a cadre of Batha group of the militant outfit.An AK 47 ruffle and 19 live amunitions were recovered from his possession. Libya was involved with many anti national activities in the region, said a senior army officer.

Noted Bodo singer, lyric and social worker Phanindra Nath Brahma (Phani Serja) died at a private hospital in Siliguri after prolong illness on Friday. He was 71. Brahma was suffering from diabetes, knee injury and was admitted to the hospital.  Brahma was a retired teacher and was associated with various social activities. He had presented first violin promotion music at the Bodo programme in All India Radio (AIR), Guwahati.
