Road blocked by women in Pathsala
Adjacent roads of Pathsala (Lasit Nagar) was blocked by a group of women demanding immediate reapair of the roads on Thursday morning. The group of local women came out from their homes to protests against deplorable roads near Anandaram Baruah Academy Schools & Colleges in the heart of Pathsala town. According to them, The goverment failed to take development to the people. The conditions of roads is very poor and people can't walk in the road in rainy season.
Later, Executive Magistrate Saifudaullah Khan with the sub-divisional police visited on the spot and cleared the blockade.

Achyut Lahkar, the father of Assamese mobile theatre died on SUnday morning at around 7.30 am. Lakhar born in the year of 1931, founded the Nataraj Theatre, the first mobile theatre in Assam way back in 1963. Known as ‘Mancha Pravakor' he was a pioneering dramatist, actor, director and producer who staged numerous memorable plays in mobile theatre. Two youth died on the spot in a fatal accident at Baghmara, Monday around 2.30 pm. The incident happened at Bajali when the duo's speeding motor cycle collided with a truck head on after hitting a cow near the Baghmara police station. The dead have been identified as Kumar Boro and Bhakta Boro both from Gargoan. The bodies meantime were shifted to the Barpeta Medical College for postmortem.
