Illegal arms dealer arrested

Borpathar police in association with Merapani police on 18th July arrested a person named Intazul Hussain who is believed to be engaged in illegal arms trading. Its important to mention here that On 16th July police arrested one Safir Ahmed, another illegal arms dealer, from whom police recovered a 9 mm Pistol and three live cartridges. On the basis of information given by Safir Ahmed, Borpathar police arrested Intazul from Merpani area of Golaghat Dist. According to the sources these people procured illegal arms from an NSCN (IM) leader named Monthang Lutha and supplied the arms to various anti social elements operating in the region.
