Stop oilfield auction: AJYCP

The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad continues its protest for the second consecutive day on Tuesday against the move to auction 12 oilfields in Assam.

AJYCP activists in different parts of the state blocked the National Highways from 11 in the morning disrupting surface transport communication for at least three hours.

Raising slogans against the anti-people policies, the leaders and activists of the organization made it clear that they won’t allow the Centre to hurt the sentiment of Assam and its people who are ready to face any eventuality.

They are set to block the rails across the state on Wednesday asking the Centre to halt the move by July 8. On Monday, the staged dharna in the oilfields in the upper Assam district warning the Centre of dire consequences if it fails to listen to the voice of protest.
