Meritious students feted

As a mark of encouraging students of Udalguri, the district committee of All Rabha Students' Union (ARSU) and All Rabha Womens' Council (ARWC) has felicitated students of the district who had passed this year’s  HSLC and HS examinations conducted by different boards at a function organised at Rabha Cultural complex,Kukurakata of Tangla on Sunday.

Altogether more than 100 students were honoured and encouraged to give unflagging attention to their studies so as to become good persons in life.

Meanwhile, two poor meritious students Chiranjib Rabha and Kamal Rabha securing good marks in HSLC and HS were provided Rs.10000 each by social worker Sarat Rabha and Darpan Rabha .
The programme was chaired and inaugurated by Samarendr Rabha and Jayanta Rabha  President and Oranising Secretary ARSU respectively.

Speaking as the guest of honour at the function, students counsellor of Guwahati University Rajib Deka said that Philosopher Confucius said "Make your hobby your profession and you will never feel that you are working". He urged the students to pursue their hobby as profession .

The programme was also attended by members of district committee ARSU and ARWC ,Rajib Rabha advocate Gauhati High Court besides others.
