Rebel Congress leader Kalikho Pul refused to step down even a day after the Supreme Court reinstated Nabam Tuki as Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister. Talking to reporters in Guwahati on Thursday, he said “I am ready to prove my strength. Why should I resign. I am legally the Chief Minister.”

Flanked by his loyal legislators at a hotel in Guwahati, Pul claimed to have the support of 30 MLAs in his camp.

In yet another development, Nabam Tuki who resumed office as Chief Minister after the court ruling is holding a hectic parleys with his close associates and loyal legislators to form his council of ministers again. Top Congress leaders are also attending the meeting in Itanagar. Meanwhile, Assam BJKP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that Pul enjoyed the support of 30 MLAs.

Both Tuki and Pul camps had a hectic day on Thursday a day after the Supreme Court ordered both the camps to maintain "status quo ante as it prevailed on December 15" last year in Arunachal Pradesh.

He is a 20 year old youth whom Delhi police caught charging him with raping and slapping a woman from Nagaland in Hauz Khas village on Saturday.Popularly known  as Raja, police arrested him on Tuesday from South Delhi when he was sleeping inside a park. Hauz Khaz rape: 1 caught

Delhi police claimed to have arrested a person in connection with the recent sexual assault on a woman from Nagaland in Hauz Khas village. According to police, interrogation is going on to extract the information of the crime where a person took a 24 year old woman away to a park to be repeatedly raped at 11.30 night on Saturday. Police registered the case against unknown person and during the course of investigation one person was arrested on Tuesday in this connection. 13 yr old dies after falling off a bamboo bridge

A class III student died after falling off of a dilapidated bamboo bridge on Sunday noon at Siuguri under Raha P.S. According to information received, the 13 year old student named Momtaj Begam accompanied by two friends was on her way home at the time.
