The United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-I) on Tuesday owned up the responsibility of the serial explosions when the state joined the country wide Independence Day on Monday.
In a statement, ULFA-I publicity secretary Aronodoy Asom said that they ensured that not even a single indigenous person was killed or injured in the explosions. He said that the armed protest was never aimed at terrorizing the indigenous lot. According to him, the celebration was imposed in Assam.
As many as six explosions rocked Tinsukia and Charaido districts on Monday when Independence day celebration was going on.
