NDFB (S) informer held

Police apprehended a suspected over ground worker/sympathizer of NDFB-S identified as Paulina Basumatary 22, wife of a NDFB-S cadre Compounder alias Khaose from No 1 Nandipur village under Kachugaon police station in Kokrajhar district .

Police said Rs 15,000 (extorted from Audung Bazar area) have been recovered from her possession which was supposed to be handed over to NDB-S cadre.

She was working as a channel of communication between the NDFB-S cadres and over ground worker in that area through her husband. She has been playing a very important role in siphoning off extortion money to the outfit in Myanmar through the OGWs/sympathisers.

One electrocuted in Kokrajhar

A person was electrocuted near Kokrajhar bazaar this evening in Kokrajhar town. He was identified as Ekramul Mondal(42) of Bilasipara in Dhubri district. He was engaged as dhalai labour at a construction of building in Kokrajhar town near main bazaar. Mondal was died on the spot following electrocuted,who was engaged with building construction work near main bazar in Kokrajhar town.The incident took place by 5.30 pm in the evening as Mondal has been electrocuted while he trying to down the climbing track of the building construction. AASAA burns effigies of Jogi Adityanath, Amit Shah

The All Adivashi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) carried out protest and burnt effigies of CM of Uttar Pradesh Jogi Adityanath,  Amit Shah, president of BJP, RP Sarma, Tejpur MP in protest against the photo anomalies of Lakshmi Uraon, who was publicly atrocities in 2007 at Guwahati while participating AASAA rally. Absu to move NHRC on fake encounter

Various parties and organisations from Bodoland region, including All Bodo Students Union(ABSU), National Democrtaic Front of Boroland-Progressive (NDFB-P), BPF, UPPL condemned and demanded early punishment of those involveed in the fake encounter that killed two-cadres of NDFB-S at Simlaguri in Chirang district on March 30 last. Bike lifters held in Kojrajhar

Kokrajhar police on Wednesday arrested three bike lifters from Chautaki under Salakati police outpost in Kokrajhar district. Identified as Hasmat Ali, Taffizuddin of Abhayapuri and Saheb Ali of Salakati, they were arrested by the Kokrajhar police who registered a case no. 510/16 u/s 379/411IPC. Road communication disrupted due to bandh
