Rock Climbing Adventures Training camp at Bhuneswar

With the view to find Mount Everest Expedite team by 2019 next from BTAD region, a Rock Climbing Adventures Training camp which has been kicked off from Saturday at Bhuneswar Hill near Dangtal in Chirang district was organized by Adventure NGO, Kokrajhar in association with Assam Mountaineering Association (AMA).

Altogether 30 participants from four districts of BTAD region participated in the three-day training camp to impart training rock climbing, and hill trekking. Learned instructors and experts from Assam Mountaineering Association Prithiraj Narzary taught participants on various aspect and ways about rock climbing and hill trekking during training camp.

Participated lauded the initiative for training which will be benefiting for interested students. Instructor told that they have been imparting training on water sports, rock climbing, hills trekking during camp; besides preparing to find out mount Everest expedite team from BTAD region.

Prithiraj Narzary, training instructor said this adventure training camp was organized to impart training on rock climbing, hill trekking under joint venture from Assam Mountaineering Association and Adventures NGO.

‘We hope, a Mount Everest Expedite team wound be come up by 2019 next from BTAD area. This is a beginning point in this juncture. Rock climbing and hills trekking is an adventure amusement in the sporting arena through which coming up generation can earn knowledge and information about mountaineering’,Narzary added.

Mananjay Daimary, president of the Adventure NGO,Kokrajhar told that the camp is second edition which has been organized to bring sports influence among coming up generations. The camp has been paved way to find out Mount Everest expedite team in 2019 next, which has been started from this season. We have been trying to haunt sports talents, who are talents among society. The training camp would be concluded on August 29 at Baukhungri Hills with hills trekking training in Kokrajhar district.

“It is an initiative to bring sports influence among coming up generations in mountaineering adventure. During the camp, training on rock climbing, hill trekking was trained along the Hills. A Mount Everest Expedite team from BTAD would be sent by 2019 for which why training camp has been stressed with stern steps”,Daimary said.

KOKRAJHAR: Kokrajhar police seized 1.80 quintles of ganja illegally carrying in a truck and arrested the driver near Karigaon national highway on Thursday. He was identified as Shyam Kumar Mahato of Bihar. The truck came from Agartala and bound for West Bengal. Police brought the seized under its custody and interogation is on. Police said that market value of the sized Ganja would be amounting of nearly 20 lakhs.
KOKRAJHAR: Adhya sradhya of former MP Charan Narzary is going to be held at his Hatimata residence in Kokrajhar town on Sunday. Narzary breathed his last on July 23 due to age ailments. He was the founding general secretary of the Plains Tribal Council of Assam (now defunct), former MLA from Kokrajhar east, former professor in Kokrajhar Govt College and associated with several organization. KOKRAJHAR: Security forces apprehended a hard-core cadre of the National Democratic Front of Boroland-Saoraigwra faction (NDFB-S) on Friday from Samukha Nala area under Bishmuri police outpost in Kokrajhar district. The arrested cadre was identified as Dipak Basumatary @ B. Dwibai @Jolo (23) of Maina Nagar near Bishmuri. He was a Myanmar trained hardcore NDFB(S) cadre of 42nd batch and a member of the Batha Group. One 7.65 mm pistol, a magazine, two live rounds and cash 200 were recovered from his possession. KOKRAJHAR: One person died in Kokrajhar due to Japanese Enchapalitis (JE) on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Rijendra Nath Brahma (72) of Patakata, Kokrajhar district. Brahma was admitted to MRM hospital, Kokrajhar on Sunday. He breathed his last on Monday morning. Earlier, he was discharged from Apollo hospital Guwahati where he was treated for Japanese Enchapalitis. Brahma was a retired block education officer. KOKRAJHAR:  In a innovative well in the Sapkata River in Kokrajhar district where water flows from bottom to top attracts visitors. The well is located at Dhwrwmpur village near Athiabari under Serfanguri Police Station, nearly 60 Kms away from Kokrajhar district headquarters to the north.
