AIMT celebrates media fest

Annual media festival of Asian Institute of Management & Technology  "Convenster 2016" was held on October 27-28, organised by the department of mass comunication.  The event saw a great enthusiasm and zeal among college students of the region for participation in various events like Pictogram (Photography competition), Jingle Making , Radio Jockeying, Act like Charlie(one act based on Charlie Chaplin), Ignited 6.0 (a panel discussion on “has digital media taken over conventional media and Quiz. The students of the department showcased their skills in not only in the competition but also in the cultural evening.

The panelists for Ignited 6 were, Mrinal Talukdar (Senior Journalist DY 365), Bikash Kalita (pioneer of e-book in Assam), Suresh Ranjan Goduka (Journalist), Sushanta Talukdar (Journalist), Sangeeta Kakoti (Associate Professor, Arya Vidyapith College).

Chakrapani Parashar of News 18 and Rituraj Borthakur of The Assam Tribune were awarded upcoming Journalist (Electronic and Print) award.
