21st National Photo Contest announced
The 21st National Photo Contest organised by by Kreative Klickers has been announced with the theme "Life and Environment". Entries are open to all, throughout India. Details can be obtained from the website:
www.photodivision.gov.in.
Photographers across the have been invited to participate in the contest. 13 photographs from digital colour and conventional black and white sections respectively will be awarded 1st (Rs.25000/-), 2nd (Rs.15,000/-), 3rd (Rs.10,000/-). 10 commendations (Rs.5000/- each) along with citations will also be awarded.

Suspected Gorkha Liberation Army of Assam (GLAA) on 22nd July 2008 gunned down one Amar Bahadur Bista Sarkari Gaon Burah of Missamari of Dhekiajuli Sub- Division in Sonitpur district. The same suspected group is also alleged to have involved in widespread extortion and kidnapping in the following two months.
