Hagrama’s concern over conviction of DHD leaders
BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary expressed concern over conviction of DHD leaders by NIA on Monday. He said that the government should rethink over the judgement while addressing BPF's CWC meet at in Kokrajhar to discuss on party affairs.
Mohilary expressed serious concern over NIA conviction of DHD leaders like Jowel Garlosa, Niranjan Hojai, Mohit Hojai who are going under NIA cases even though they had signed accord with government . He has urged the government to rethink over the conviction of DHD leaders in the NIA court.
‘As DHD leaders had signed accord with government, but today’s conviction judgement was a matter of concern. Government should have exempted them (DHD leaders) from the cases’, Mohilary said.
The BPF has decided to contest in the upcoming panchayat election with new strategies. KOKRAJHAR: A Python was rescued at Sesapani Nwlwbari near Magurmari forest beat office in Kokrajhar on Sunday.According to Sesapani villagers, the Python was found at a fishing pond near Magurmari forest beat office and rescued by villagers .Later,villagers handed it over to the forest department.The rescued reptile weighed eight kgs and was nearly nine feets in length. KOKRAJHAR: An unidentified dead body was recovered at Borjhora river near Tinkhona village under Fakiragram PS in Kokrajhar district on Sunday morning. The body was witnessed floating on the river,by the locals and later the police arrived. The unidentified body bored clear injury marks.The deceased ia suspected to be from the neighbouring villages. Kokrajhar: The All Assam Minority Students Union (AAMSU) slammed the state government as well district administration for not allowing the students union to stage protest against D-voters issue in the state. AAMSU was supposed to stage a protest against government over D-voters’ issue in Kokrajhar town near Children Park. Hundreds of students union and minority people gathered at the venue, but district administration refrained them from holding protest rally.
