Swapnil Khare ranks 43 while Dibakar Nath has been ranked in 254th position. Kapinjal Kumar Sarma bags 507 position while Seuj Kumar Saikia gets 677th position followed by Dipankar Gogoi who is ranked in 816th.
Tapan Deka has been ranked in 859 along with Dipjoy Das in the same position. Mamoni Doley has been ranked in 928 followed by Bidisha Chinte and Yoshodhara Das, Abhijit Pegu, Bandana Deori and Montu Swargiary.
Guwahati: The gate-keeping role of traditional media has been questioned by observers, despite the advent of social media where everyone has a say but there is little credible analysis. Reacting to the recent controversy over NaMo TV, the Electronic Media Forum Assam (EMFA) has urged news channels in particular to introspect whether they too are facing a major credibility challenge.
The forum, in a statement issued today, posed the question whether common viewers are turning to raw news rather than interpretative news content aired by recognized news channels. Guwahati: Electronic Media Forum Assam (EMFA) expressed serious concern over the brutal attack on city based television journalist Chakrapani Parashar last evening by a group of vendors at Ganeshguri locality and demanded stringent actions against the culprits.
The forum also urged the State government in Dispur to ensure security to media persons with enacting a special protection law at the earliest. It may be mentioned that Chakrapani, who is working for satellite news channel News18/AssamNE, was stabbed by some workers of a restaurant, adjacent to his office, on Thursday (21 March 2019) evening while he was on duty.

The cadres were identified as Barun Asom, Sourav Asom, Utpal Asom, Bosonto Asom, Ninja Asom, Mazid Moran and Shekharjyoti Asom.

ITANAGAR : The State Government has announced Ex-gratia of Rs 20 lakhs for diseased families with government job and Rs 10 lakhs for seriously injured person in the recent protest against government's consideration to give PRC to 6 communities. Three protesters were killed in police firing and fine others injured in the recent orgy of violence in the state capital.

JORHAT: The toll in the spurious liquor tragedy refuses to halt even after the loss of nearly 200 people in Jorhat and Golaghat districts forcing the government to launch a massive crackdown against the illicit liquor traders.
According to information, at the Jorhat Medical College Hospital alone 97 deaths have been reported since Friday night and all these people were rushed from Salamira and Titabor areas. Others died in Golaghat civil hospital. A few other patients died without treatment at the Salmira Tea Estate on Sunday and Monday.
