Presidential poll: Counting on

The new elected President of India would be formally announced on Thursday as the counting of votes is going on.

According to the returning officer, the ballots of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are counting and then ballots from the states would be taken for counting.

According to the Election Commission, the results would be available at 5 in the evening before a formal announcement.

NDA have favoured Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind while UPA, Left, Trinamool Congress, AAP have voted for former Lok Sabha Speaker and Congress leader Meira Kumar.
