A special assembly session in Nagaland on Friday confirmed TR zeliang’s strength two days after the former NPF leader took oath as chief minister again.
Altogether 46 legislators from NPF, BJP along with a few independents voted for TR Zeliang on the floor while 11 legislators opposed thr motion at the end of a high voltage political drama in the north eastern state.
The special session took place in Kohima at 9.39 in the morning where the new chief minister cleared the test in the house of 60.
The Naga Peoples’ Front, which expelled Zeliang has already issued a single line whip not to support the former leader who poached a section of legislators to resume as the chief minister a couple of months later.
Governor PB Acharya will administer oath to the new cabinet ministers on Saturday evening after clearing the floor test.
