Bengali body demands CBI probe

The All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation (AIBYSF) and All Assam Bengali Youth Student's Federation (BBYSF) will stage sit-in-demonstration on September 7 at Dispur last gate in Guwahati demanding CBI probe into the Silapothar and Nagaon incident.

Speaking the News Conference held at Amala Bhawan in Kokrajhar on Sunday, Shyamal Sarkar, president of All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation and Deepak Dey, president of the Assam state federation demanded stern actions against incidents of Silapothar and Nagaon in the state.

The federation have condemned the Nagaon incident which had created resented among the citizens, said that it was created by some so called activities to indulge misunderstanding in the state. They accused of Chief Minister, who had well known about both incidents held at Silapothar and Nagaon, but yet he has been keeping silence into situations.

Road mishap killed two persons and another received serious injury at Dhaligaon National Highway early this morning in Chirang district. At least 24 persons including 9 children were taken ill after taking medicines from the mobile medical unit of the NRHM at Dotma Titeliguri in Kokrajhar district. The victims complain of vomiting, headache, stomach pain after taking the medicines taken from the mobile medical unit on Friday. One person identified as Komin Boro, 30 was shot dead by unidentified miscreant at Kawlibhanga village under Tangla PS in Udalguri district today. According to source, two motorcycle borne unidentified miscreants shot dead Komin from close range and died on the spot.Police officials rushed the spot to take stock about incident.
