A review meeting on BTC accord implementation will held in Delhi in October 5 to discuss the implementation of the clauses of the historic BTC accord. These include central assistance amounting of ₹1000 crores to the council, granting of ST (Hills) to the Bodo peoples in Karbi Anglong,functioning of departments in the council.
Hagrama Mohilary, BTC chief, said it on Saturday as he was
laying the foundation stone of the staff quarters of the Upendra Nath Brahma Memorial Cultural Centre and Huest House at Salugara,Siliguri in West Bengal.
The quarter will be 4+G and to be constructed amounting of 4.52 crores to facilitate staff and visitors in the region.
Mohilary, on the occasion told that a tripartite review meeting on the BTC accord implementation will be held on October 5 in Delhi in the presence of central officials.
The meeting in Delhi will discuss on all clauses of the BTC accord implementing, granting of ST(Hills) to the Bodos in Karbi Anglong. He said that BTC administration will seek disaster management and relief and rehabilitation department to make more development works in the council. He said BTC administration was working all round .
