Lumding Sports Association will  organise "Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Sports Competition 2017-2018" with Krida Bharati, Lumding from January 1 to 12, 2018, in Lumding. 

Talking to Assam Times, Sudip Kr. Das, Secretary,Lumding Sports Association said, "Various sports events like Cricket,Football,Athletic,Volleyball, Khabadi ,Chess, Carrom, Table tennis, badminton, arm wrestling, body building, Sportz quiz, Slow cycle race, Tug of war,Yoga,Kungfu, Tykandu., etc are the events that will be organised."

Body of 14 years old Sumit Baspor S/O Sambhu Baspor and resident of Harijan Colony rescued on Saturday Morning. Twenty-year-old boy brutally murdered

In a sensational incident, one Ramanand Bora (20) was killed by his neighbour at Dakhin Bidyanagar in Hojai on Friday night. As per information, neighbour Deepak Rajkhowa repeatedly stabbed Ramanand with a sharp weapon.
