GUWAHATI:Senior Congress leader and former chief minister Tarun Gogoi came down heavily on the BJP led government in Delhi for not allowing the people to know the content of the controversial Naga peace framework.
Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Saturday, Gogoi said if the Centre wants territorial integrity to remain undisturbed, then why it has not disclosed the pact reached with NSCN-IM two years back.
What forces the Centre to keep mum even after the Naga rebel outoufit has been repeatedly talking of the integration of the north eastern Naga inhibited areas in the much-hyped greater Nagalim.
Gogoi further criticised the government alleging that the NRC works were being delayed without any rhyme or reason. "It was I who took the initiatives. Whatever we could we proceeded. But the things refused to proceed as soon as BJP came to power. Never this party wants NRC works to be completed since it would lead to the end of the road to politics," said the three time chief minister who was flanked by Pradyut Bordoloi.
