MARGHERITA: The United Liberation Front of Asom (I) on Sunday released Arunav Phukan 10 days after they kidnapped the businessman from Khandubasti in Arunachal Pradesh.
Arunav, the son of a leading business man in Tinsukia has been freed at Joyrampur along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border at noon from where he called up his mother in Jagun.
A team of Tinsukia police is on the way to Joirampur to take stock of his condition whom the rebel outfit kidnapped at gunpoint as he was on the way to visit his father's stone quarry.
Security forces were fanning thr dense jungle along the interstate border in search of Arunav after he was kidnapped by s group of 6 ULFA(I) rebels.
