KOKRAJHAR:KLO on Tuesday made it plain and simple that never will the rebel outfit compromise its demand for a sovereign Kamatapur.
In his address at the outfit's Martyrs' Day function at an undisclosed location the chief Jiban Singha Koch said they would keep struggling until and unless the Koches regain the historic Kamatapur.
Flanked by the top north eastern rebels in the function he said many people have lost their lives in the name of the struggle for Kamatapur which they wont allow to go in vain.
According to Koch, the only way to keep alive the culture and identity of the Koch people is the independent and sovereign state which needs to be regained.
He said those who lost their lives like the trio on December 26 in 2000 have been inspiring KLO to continue the struggle for regaining the lost Kamatapur.
