Rimpi Buragohain Honored with Grand Reception for Triple Gold at World Police and Fire Games 2025

Rimpi Buragohain, a talented athlete from Bokota, Sivasagar, was felicitated in a grand public reception held at the Damchow Premananda Buragohain Samannaya Khetra auditorium in Puni Bill, Bokota on August 31. Rimpi earned three gold medals at the World Police and Fire Games 2025 held in the USA, bringing immense pride to her hometown and the entire state of Assam.

The felicitation ceremony was organized by the Football Training Center, Bokota, in collaboration with residents of the greater Bokota area. She was warmly welcomed with a traditional reception featuring Gayan-Bion from Sepon Tiniali.

In recognition of her outstanding international achievements, the Assam Olympic Association conferred the "Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Award-2025" on Rimpi, marking the first time this honor has been awarded to her. Lakshya Konwar, General Secretary of the Assam Olympic Association, announced the decision, praising Rimpi's exceptional contributions to sports on the global stage.
