The draft electoral roll for the three Assembly constituencies of Sivasagar district—Demow, Sivasagar and Nazira—was published on December 27, officials said. As per official data, the total number of voters across the district’s three constituencies stands at 5,72,219.
In the 95-Demow Assembly Constituency, the total number of voters is 1,79,210, including 88,004 male voters, 91,205 female voters and one voter from the third gender. The constituency has 230 polling stations.
The 96-Sivasagar Assembly Constituency has a total of 2,09,778 voters, comprising 1,03,430 male voters, 1,06,347 female voters and one third-gender voter. This constituency has 278 polling stations.
Meanwhile, the 97-Nazira Assembly Constituency has 1,83,231 voters, including 89,070 male voters, 94,159 female voters and two third-gender voters. The constituency has 233 polling stations.
Overall, the three Assembly constituencies of Sivasagar district together account for 2,80,504 male voters, 2,91,711 female voters and four third-gender voters. The total number of polling stations across the district is 741.
Election officials informed that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) appointed by the Election Commission have completed door-to-door verification and data collection under the Special Summary Revision of the electoral rolls. During the exercise, 2,268 individuals aged above 17 but below 18 years, eligible for inclusion in next year’s voter list, were identified.
In addition, the revision process identified 7,507 new voters above 18 years of age, 4,275 transferred voters, and 8,270 deceased voters in the district.
Citizens can submit claims and objections for inclusion of names or correction of details in the electoral roll up to January 22, 2026, using the prescribed forms. Applications may be submitted through the respective Booth Level Officers or online via the Election Commission’s portal at voters.eci.gov.in, the Voter Helpline Mobile App (VHA), or the ECINET platform.
