The actual meaning of the word Bhot Jolokia, the world’s hottest chilly

Assam's Bhoot Jolokia has become famous as the worlds hottest chilly a few months back. Guinness Book of World Records has awarded this title to our very own red chili and the media all across has been covering this event widely. But almost all reports in English named this chilly as “ghost chilly” translating the name directly from Assamese. In Assamese “bhut” stands for “ghost”. Bhot actually means people of Bhutan. Awarded chili is Bhot Jolokiya not Bhut Jolokiya In Assam everyone knows it. Some journalist made this mistake sometime back and it is continuing

Actually the so called bhoot chilly is entirely found in the north east region of India. So better not to comment on the name or whatsever. There is no doubt that it has got great quality .so dear, if u really want to know then contect me..

BTW..... its total bullsh** that its BHOT JOLOKIA.. its actually "bhoot jolokia" and it means ghost chilly in assamese because of the hot spicy taste it produces. and crossword jolokia is pronounced as jo-lo-ki-aa

The Central Bureau of Investigation has taken over the over probe into the October 30 serial blasts in Assam. According to information,the central agency has issued a notification to this effect on Thursday after the Assam government formally urged the Centre to go for it. It is learnt that a 30 member CBI team led by DIG P Kamrajis arriving the state on Friday for investigation. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi agreed to suggestions made by various political parties for a CBI probe into the blasts that left 84 people dead and over 400 injured. Assam has completed the first phase of poultry culling operation in the bird flu-affected areas of Kamrup, Nalbari, Barpeta and Dibrugarh districts. Culling operation in Assam has completed in three areas of two districts on Tuesday where the killer avian flu is creating panic.
