100 hours NC Hills bandh

In demand for the bifurcation of NC Hills into two Autonomous districts under 3 (C) of Articles 244 (2) & 275 (1) of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India, the North Cachar Hills Indigenous Students Forum (NCHISF) has given a 100 hours N. C. Hills Bandh from 4 AM of July 12.

The bringing of the bandh will not solve the problems of people like you and me. why do the people dont get in their mind of living in peace n harmony? The creation and division mind of the political leaders and the outfits will not do good for the common. you and i live in the land not only on individual. i pray for those who is still yet to understand the anger cloudy environment in the peace land of N.C.Hills.

The Executive Member, in charge Forest etc. of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Sri Bijoyendra Sengyung inspected several projects and schemes taken by the Dima Hasao Forest Department in Umrangso area on Thursday. 61st Foundation Day of DHAC concludes

The 61st Foundation Day of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council was celebrated in a grand manner. Family members of victims of NIA cry for justice

The Family members of victims of the National Investigation Agency case no.01/09 and no.02/09 have expressed serious concern over the delay in releasing the accused persons on bail who have been languishing in Central Jail, Guwahati Since 2009 for nearly three years. MP Biren Sing Engti inaugurates boundary wall

On the occasion of 61st Foundation Day Celebration, Sri Biren Sing Engti, MP (LS) inaugurated the newly constructed boundary wall of N L Daolagupu Sports Complex on Saturday in presence of Sri Debojeet Thaosen, Chief Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council. This boundary wall was constructed under MPLAD for the year 2010-11 of Sri Biren Sing Engti, MP (LS). MP also inaugurated the biometric access control system for authorisation of entry under BRGF for the year 2010-11. This was followed by a meeting at the indoor stadium wherein Sri Engti announced rupees 20 Lakh for the completion boundary wall while expressing his satisfaction over the successful construction of the wall.
