Grenade recovered at Haflong

Police recovered China made grenade from the official residence of Sri Mayanan Kemprai, Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, this morning.


This grenade was kept in front of the garage of EM’s residence. Actually this was noticed by a servant yesterday night at about 8.30 PM but the boy out of fear did not inform the police, this morning only he informed the police who identified as a grenade.


It is to be mentioned here that yesterday at about 7.25 PM a grenade was exploded at the residence of Subrata Hojai, Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council damaging some portion of the veranda of the residence. Both Kemrai and Hojai were out of Haflong. A sense of tension began to run high at Haflong following these incidents.


Several organizations condemned these incidents with strong words.
